Typeslinger
Delete your account
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This page is for players of Typeslinger, the live one-on-one typing race for iPhone and Android, made by an independent developer. It explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data.
In the app
The quickest way, and it takes effect at once:
- Open Typeslinger and tap Stats on the main menu to open your profile.
- Scroll to the end and tap Delete account.
- Tap Delete to confirm.
If you're in a race, finish it first. The app then starts again as a new guest.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app, or can't open your account in it, ask us by email:
- Write to info@emsi.dev with the subject Delete my Typeslinger account.
- Give your player name and your country in the game, and your friend code if you have one.
- We may ask you a few questions about the account, such as when you started playing or whether you saved it with Google, so that only you can have it deleted.
We delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner, and write back when it's done.
What is deleted
- your player name and country;
- your points, league, streak, rating, achievements and medal;
- the link to your Google account, if you saved the account with Google;
- your friend code, your friends list, and your challenges;
- your sign-in tokens and your notification (push) tokens.
Deletion can't be undone. Your name becomes available to other players again.
What is kept
- Your past races stay in your opponents' histories, so their records still add up: the result, times, speed and keystroke log of each race, but no longer linked to any account or showing your name.
- Server logs, which record requests to our server, are replaced by newer logs within days.
- Backups of our database, once they are switched on, keep copies for up to 6 months, after which they expire.
- Crash reports and usage statistics in Google's Firebase aren't linked to your account, only to a random installation ID. Firebase keeps crash reports for 90 days and usage statistics for at most 14 months.
